About Kimi Rose

Hey there fellow book lovers, welcome to my blog.

My name is Kimi Rose.  I am a twenty-something-year-old living in the West Loop of Chicago.  I have been a bibliophile since before I learned how to read. I love stories!  The rush that I get when I start a great new book and dive into its ink-filled world, is one of my favourite pastimes!

Up until this past summer I worked as a preschool teacher for almost seven years and am now a nanny in Chicago.  Children’s and Middle Grade books are a love of mine, but I will give any book a shot! When I’m not working or reading I love to snuggle with my kitty, Mina, and go out and about in the city with my husband, Ryan.

In this blog you will find my thoughts on the books I love, journals about living in the city, and some tips for parents and teachers in regards to reading with children.

“If you are a dreamer, come in.
If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar,
A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer,
If you are a pretender, come sit by my fire.
For we have some flax-golden tales to spin.
Come in!
Come in!”
[Shel Silverstein]

Kimi Rose
